RESOLV researcher Clara Saraceno of Ruhr University Bochum has been awarded a 150,000-euro Proof of Concept Grant from the European Research Council (ERC) to bring a new type of laser technology to the market.

RESOLV invited 10 students to experience what it is like to be a researcher during their summer vacation. From July 3rd to 7th, the students got an insight into Solvation Science.

The rector accompanied Hendrik Wüst for a week and took the opportunity to visit three Japanese partner universities of the Ruhr-Universität.

The “Career Day” is now an integral part of the annual Summer School Solvation Science. This year, professionals from Bayer AG, Henkel AG, ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe AG, and a senior editor of the journal Angewandte Chemie will present themselves and their career paths in short talks. The subsequent panel discussion will leave enough time to clarify any questions the participating young scientists…

Today, the participants of the NRW state competition "Jugend forscht" visited the research building ZEMOS. RESOLV invited the students to see how cutting-edge research works and organized guided tours through the various laboratories at ZEMOS.

On March 7, the first WSC Demo Day, organized by RUB's WORLDFACTORY Start-up Center, took place. The team HoLa, whose founding idea originated in the group of RESOLV member Prof. Dr. Clara Saraceno, was awarded the first prize.

The workshop is designed by START4CHEM specifically for the RESOLV graduate school. The workshop aims to enable PhD students to identify relevant future trends in their research field, develop application scenarios, and communicate them to different target audiences using the pitching method. The workshop comprises a total of four afternoon sessions, each lasting four hours.

On October 20, 2022, RESOLV welcomed US Consul General Pauline Kao to its research building ZEMOS. Together with RUB Rector Prof. Dr. Martin Paul, they discussed the importance of international collaborations, as well as their expansion and strengthening.

In view of its upcoming 10th anniversary, RESOLV invited all former and current PhD students and postdocs to the first alumni meeting. On Friday, August 5, RESOLV's alumni had the chance to meet in person and to catch up with their successors and with one another over BBQ and drinks.

RESOLV presented their joint transfer concept with Start4Chem at the 10th Edition of the EuroScience Open Forum 2022 in the beautiful city of Leiden, Netherlands.
