The integrated Graduate School Solvation Science hosts an annual Summer School at the Ruhr University Bochum. The school always takes place after Whitsuntide and is an integral part of the iGSS students' training during their doctoral studies. We encourage keen and motivated Master and PhD students with an interest in Solvation Science, both from our local partner and external institutes to join us. In 2026, we offer lectures in solvation science, a career panel session with professionals from outside academia, a diversity event, and advanced hands-on laboratory practicals. Students will have ampel opportunities to network with the speakers and with each other.

We are pleased to welcome internationally renowned speakers in the field of Solvation Science to give keynote talks on their research during the Lecture Series. This year's session topics are Solvation in Sensor Applications, Solvation meets Confinement, and Solvation in Photochemistry. The Lecture Series is organized and chaired by members of our Graduate School and RESOLV's Early Career Researchers. 

The Advanced Hands-On Modules will take place all-day on Friday, where small groups of students gain insight into different fields of Solvation Science.
