11th Summer School Solvation Science / 10. - 13. June 2025

The integrated Graduate School Solvation Science hosts an annual Summer School at the Ruhr University Bochum. The school always takes place after Whitsuntide and is an integral part of the iGSS students' training during their doctoral studies. We encourage keen and motivated Master and PhD students with an interest in Solvation Science, both from our local partner institutes and international students, to apply and/or register every spring. In 2025, we offer lectures in solvation science, a career panel session with professionals from outside academia, a diversity event, and advanced hands-on laboratory practicals.

We are pleased to welcome internationally renowned speakers in the field of Solvation Science to give keynote talks on their research during the Lecture Series. This year's session topics are Solvation in Charge and Electron Transfer, in Complex Processes and in Biophysics. The Lecture Series is organized and chaired by members of our Graduate School and RESOLV's Early Career Researchers

Students are encouraged to network with the speakers and with each other.

Please visit the Hands-On Series 2025 to see a list of laboratory modules available to participants.

Registration for international and local participants is open until May11, 2025. We are looking forward to welcome you in Bochum!
