TranSOLV supports the rapid transfer of basic research done in RESOLV to application and helps to transfer knowledge into society.

TranSOLV started in 2013 in cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute UMSICHT, which possesses extensive expertise in the fields of cutting-edge applied and industry-oriented processes as well as the exploitation of Intellectual Property (IP). Since 2015, TranSOLV's office is located in the research building ZEMOS, the Home of Solvation Science on the RUB campus.

TranSOLV acts as the first point of contact and provides joint support together with the institutional transfer centers for RESOLV researchers who request advice with regard to IP- or contractual issues, want to enter a joint-venture with an industrial partner, or desire to set up their own business. Also for contacts from the outside who wish to get in touch with our researchers, TranSOLV is a reliable partner.

TranSOLV systematically integrates advanced transfer concepts with graduate education and Early Career Researchers (ECR) training. Our events, such as workshops, career development training, or networking with professionals in a relaxed atmosphere open up options for our ECRs for a career after the PhD or Postdoc. In order to foster the entrepreneurial attitude of graduate students and postdocs, TranSOLV works closely with Start4Chem, a dedicated incubator for Chemistry, that was founded in 2019 as part of the Exzellenz Start-Up Center.NRW Worldfactory at RUB,

TranSOLV supports dedicated formats to engage with the next generation of Solvation Scientists. This includes projects such as Solvation Science Student Challenge and SolvationScience@School.
