Professor Max Martin Hansmann and his team have developed a new reagent that can insert a carbon atom into organic molecules to build three-dimensional structures. This development is so significant for fundamental research in organic chemistry that it has been published in the prestigious journal "Science." The research was conducted within the framework of an ERC Starting Grant from the European Research Council, which Professor Hansmann secured in 2022.
