Doctoral researchers

The integrated Graduate School Solvation Science (iGSS)  offers a graduate program that combines cutting-edge research with a curriculum of lectures, colloquia, and workshops. 

PhD Positions and IGSS Memberships

Master students

Do you hold a Bachelor in Science (BSc) in chemistry, physics, biology, mathematics or engineering? The international Master's program "Molecular Sciences – Spectroscopy and Simulation" (iMOS)  offers a two-year program with the unique chance to acquire cutting-edge skills in laser spectroscopy and microscopy, computer simulation, and quantum chemistry. Applications for the 2026 class, starting October 1st, 2026, will be accepted from December 2025 until June 15th, 2026. If also applying to iGSS Track II, please plan ahead and apply no later than May 15th. Please contact imos@rub.de for more information outside of the typical application period.

Internships

Our last call for current Master and PhD students for Your Step into Solvation Science with the Student Challenge  accepted applications until March 1st, 2026. Students who submitted successful research proposals won a 3-month internship, to be completed by December 2026.

Current undergraduate students (enrolled in a BSc or combined study programme) are encouraged to apply for the annual Solvation Scholars Undergraduate Exchange  to conduct a two- to three-month internship at RESOLV. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis from November 15th, 2026 to January 15th, 2027.
