Nearly every biological reaction takes place in a aqueous solvent. The magazine "Chemie in unserer Zeit" presents the latest researches about Solvation Science in their first issue 2017.

After its succes in Blue Square in Bochum, the exhibition "Völlig losgelöst" took place in the museum "Strom & Leben" (Electricity & Life) in Recklinghausen on 2nd November 2016. Two authors were on-site and report about their impressions in our new blog.

A new method of high-resolution rotational spectroscopy allows to differentiate chiral molecules in gas phase. RESOLV scientists Simon Ebbinghaus and Matthias Heyden present novel technical possibilities in the latest issue "Nachrichten aus der Chemie".

The Cluster of Excellence RESOLV was featured in the short documentary titled ‘RESOLV- Ruhr Explores Solvation’, which was first included within the official TV broadcast at the Biophysical Society's 60th Annual Meeting in Los Angeles, February 27 – March 2, 2016, an event that attracted more than 7000 delegates. Since then the video has been in display on WebsEdge website and Education YouTube channel, as well as on RESOLV website and dedicated YouTube channel.

The RESOLV Exhibition about water will be shown from 04.01. - 12.02.2016 in RUB Blue Square in Bochum City Center. There will be an accompanying experimental program for school children.

From 15th until 19th of June, 2015 TranSOLV will present the leading research in the field of Solvation Science at the "ACHEMA - Weltforum und 31. Internationale Leitmesse der ProzessindustrieBlaupause" in Frankfurt.

Am Do, 14.05.2015 um 18:45 Uhr berichtete Prof. Stefan Hell im Audimax der Ruhr-Universität über seine Forschungen zum Chemie-Nobelpreis 2014. Zahlreiche Bürger der Stadt Bochum besuchten zu diesem Anlass die Ruhr-Universität.
