Learn about Solvation Science with RESOLV
RESOLV supports curious minds, from high school students to doctoral candidates, to acquire knowledge about Solvation Science.
Getting young people and the general public excited about science is a major goal of RESOLV. Solvation science's versatility and applicability provide a unique framework for many areas of interest. Fundamental principles of Solvation Science can be made tangible with simple experiments, so even children can gain an interesting insight into the subject. This is impressively demonstrated at RESOLV's interactive exhibition "Völlig losgelöst".
RESOLV supports dedicated formats to engage with the youngest generation of Solvation Scientists. These include RESOLV's own Summer Camp for high-school students and established youth projects like "Jugend forscht" or "Girls Day".
With the Undergraduate Exchange Program, RESOLV opens its doors to international bachelor students. Successful applicants receive a scholarship and get to know the research field of Solvation Science during a 2 - 3 month internship stay in one of the RESOLV research groups and through an accompanying program consisting of the RESOLV Summer School as well as a seminar and colloquium series.
For prospective solvation scientists who are interested in studying a subject with a focus on spectroscopy and simulation, RESOLV offers the international Master's program, iMOS, at Ruhr-Universität Bochum.
The Student Challenge "Your Step into Solvation Science" is aimed at current master students and PhD Students. Groups from RESOLV offer topics of scientific interest and the students can apply with their own research proposal. An independent international jury selects the winners, who then receive a scholarship for a 3-month stay in a RESOLV group to carry out their research idea.
