Summer School Solvation Science

The integrated Graduate School Solvation Science hosts an annual Summer School at the Ruhr University Bochum. The school always takes place after Whitsuntide and is an integral part of the iGSS students' training during their doctoral studies.

The sixth Summer School Solvation Science took place from the 11th to the 14th of June, 2019.

The first two lecture days focused on Solvation on Solid Surfaces, Sustainable Chemistry and on Solvation under Extreme Conditions. Also a special lecture on the daily routine as an editor was given by one of our lecturers. Please refer to Lecture Series 2019  to see a list of confirmed speakers.

The Career Day 2019  on the 13th of June opened up career options for PhD students including networking discussions with representatives from different professional fields.

On Friday, 14th of June the Advanced Hands-on Modules took place in the RESOLV partner institutions.

We encourage keen and motivated Master and PhD students with an interest in Solvation Science, both from our local partner institutes and international students, to apply for a place at our Summer School.
