Visit of the US Consul General Pauline Kao

On October 20, 2022, RESOLV welcomed US Consul General Pauline Kao to its research building ZEMOS. Together with RUB Rector Prof. Dr. Martin Paul, they discussed the importance of international collaborations, as well as their expansion and strengthening.

RESOLV spokesperson Martina Havenith reported on an international success story: the establishment of RESOLV's sister institute, California explores Solvation (CALSOLV), at the University of California, Berkeley in 2014. This has not only led to outstanding science but also benefits young researchers. One pivotal goal of the partnership is the exchange program, which provides students from RESOLV and CalSOLV with scholarships for a stay of at least two to three months at the respective partner institute in the USA or Germany.
